Creating Collagen
for a Sustainable World

Better  /  Cheaper  /  Faster  /  Greener

By making animal free proteins that are economically-viable, we are supporting a transition into a sustainable & compassionate future.

We pioneered a novel protein expression system to create complex proteins like never before

Collagen, the most abundant protein in the animal kingdom

Collagen is a fibrous protein that is the main component of the extracellular matrix in many animal tissues, including skin, bone, cartilage, tendons, and ligaments. It provides structural support, elasticity, and strength to these tissues.

Collagen is made up of amino acids, particularly glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline. There are at least 28 different types of collagen, each with a slightly different structure and function.

Provinance bio

Type I collagen is the most abundant collagen, making up over 90% of the collagen in the body. It provides is the key component in providing tensile strength, structural support, and flexibility to tissues and. It is also important for bone growth and remodelling, as well as for wound healing.

It is composed of two alpha-1 chains and one alpha-2 chain, arranged in a triple helix structure. Gelatin and collagen peptides are smaller amino acid chains derived from this complex protein.

Provenance is producing animal free type I collagen for multiple industries

Collagen peptides for health & beauty

Bioidentical human collagen for cosmetic dermatology & wound healing

Gelatin for food & pharma

Collagen bioplastics for packaging & materials

Collagen for leather in fashion & automotive

Collagen scaffolding for cultivated meat & human organs
